Introduction:

“Mrs. Brown, You’ve Got a Lovely Daughter” is a pop song that was originally written for the 1963 British television play The Lads. The song was a minor hit in the UK when it was first released, but it became a much bigger hit when it was covered by the British band Herman’s Hermits in 1965. Herman’s Hermits’ version of the song reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart and number four on the UK Singles Chart.

Herman’s Hermits were a British band that formed in Manchester in 1963. The band was one of the most popular bands of the 1960s, and they had a number of hit songs, including “I’m Henry VIII, I Am”, “There’s a Kind of Hush”, and “Dandy”. The band broke up in 1971, but they reunited in 1983 and have continued to tour and record music ever since.
