When George Strait Gave us a Much Needed "Boot Scootin' Boogie"

Introduction:

“Boot Scootin’ Boogie” is a classic country song that has become synonymous with line dancing and good-time fun. The song was originally written and recorded by Ronnie Dunn of the country duo Brooks & Dunn in 1991. It quickly became a massive hit, reaching number one on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart and earning a Grammy nomination for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal.

In 2010, country music legend George Strait recorded his own version of “Boot Scootin’ Boogie” as a tribute to Brooks & Dunn. Strait’s rendition was included on the duo’s greatest hits album, “#1s & Then Some,” and was also featured in their farewell concert film, “Brooks & Dunn: The Last Rodeo.” Strait’s version of the song has further solidified its place in country music history and continues to be a fan favorite.
