In 1963, Anka married model Anne de Zogheb. Their marriage lasted nearly four decades and produced five daughters. But the demands of fame, touring, and family life eventually placed enormous pressure on their relationship, and the couple divorced in 2001.
Anka later married Anna Åberg in 2008. They welcomed a son, Ethan, but their marriage ended in divorce two years later. In 2016, Anka married Lisa Pemberton in Beverly Hills, beginning another highly publicized chapter. That marriage also ended in divorce in 2020.
Long before these later relationships, Anka had experienced one of his most famous young romances with actress and singer Annette Funicello. Their relationship inspired “Puppy Love,” a song that captured the innocence and emotional intensity of first love for an entire generation.
